About Elora

I'm Canadian, but I live in Italy. I've lived here for quite a while now and enjoy what it has to offer, even though I go home as often as I can.
I started liking photography in high school, and did a few projects thanks to the school's cameras. But after I left I only had my little Kodak Advantix, and didn't do much. But with the advent of digital photography and the chance of experimenting with new techniques for free (or nearly) I've picked it up again, with gusto!
I always liked art and I liked the feelings that could be conveyed through art, but hard as I try, I can't draw or paint or do anything artistic in the classical sense - but I found my way through pictures. Photography is a medium which can convey just as much emotion as a painting or a poem or a song. With computer post-processing, it can become even more "artistic". Wonderful. It's everything someone could hope for!
I enjoy taking pictures of everything: from flowers to insects to people to my cats, landscapes and still life... anything that catches my eye. And now I want to share my pictures with the world - so here's to my photoblog!

Photography Equipment

At the moment I'm using a Nikon P50 (Coolpix), I also have, and occasionally use, my Panasonic Lumix. And then I sometimes borrow other people's cameras for a couple of days and take pictures with them!
