Run of the Press

Posted by Elora (Genoa, Italy) on 28 August 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Yes, I know, another water wheel BUT this one has a big difference compared to the other one I posted - it works! It is used to power the press for the grapes in order to make wine. Water is diverted from the river and makes the wheel turn. When I took this shot it wasn't working (grapes are ready come September-October) but it was pretty cool all the same.

I decided to have some fun post processing. Thanks to Picnick I was able to apply and HDR and Lomo filter to get this effect.

The votes have been tallied: See my Top Five of 2009. Thanks to everyone who took the time to look through my images and vote on them!
